A Study of 3D Environment Look Development
3D Tech Works
2025
A series of eight 3D environments built around weekly themes, exploring mood, style, and storytelling through lighting and texture.

A collection of eight 3D environments created for my Environment Look Development class. Each piece was developed based on weekly themes assigned by the instructor, exploring different moods, visual styles, and storytelling approaches. Every model, texture, and lighting setup was built from scratch to fully realize each concept and narrative.
Project Highlights:
Honey for Breakfast: A playful miniature world from a bee’s-eye view on a breakfast table.
Game of Life: A symbolic board game inspired by Mousetrap, representing life’s chaos and routine.
The Little Match Girl’s Dream: A glowing fairytale feast capturing warmth amid hardship.
My Universe: A stylized desert motel blending Hokusai’s art with sci-fi humor, rendered in Redshift with a 2D watercolor-esque toon style.
Thirst: A flooded city with a lone vending machine symbolizing scarcity and survival.
Highway Halo Hotel Mystery: A stylized desert motel blending Hokusai’s art with sci-fi humor.
Dystopia: A dark city corner filled with surveillance, contrasted by a single red balloon.
After the War: A bright post-war utopia where flowers bloom from grenades.
Tools: Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D, Adobe Substance Painter
Guidance: Professor Larry Valentine
